Jet-Setting in Style: A Luxurious Journey

Embarking on a long-haul journey can be a thrilling experience, especially when you have the chance to indulge in the comforts of premium lounges and experience top-notch services. In this blog post, we’ll take you on a journey from Nashville International Airport (BNA) to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), where you can enjoy the Virgin Atlantic Club Lounge and the brand-new Delta Sky Club before taking off in style aboard Delta One to Berlin, Germany all booked through Virgin Atlantic.

Music City, USA – Everyone’s Favorite Town

We began in our hometown – Music City!  At Nashville International Airport, you’ll be greeted by the warmth and charm that Music City is known for. BNA offers a range of dining and shopping options to keep you entertained before your flight. Presently, their club lounge options aren’t great, but that was OK since we had such an early morning flight!

Club Lounge #1 – Living the life of Luxury

Upon arriving at JFK, we made our way to the Virgin Atlantic Club Lounge. This exclusive oasis was the perfect place to unwind and recharge before our transatlantic adventure. We enjoyed complimentary drinks and snacks in a relaxing ambiance. We also met Priya, the most adorable hostess in the lounge, who insisted that Reba McEntire is my twin sister (something I’ve heard my entire adult life but can’t actually see for myself). After feasting on tomato bisque, hummus, super food caesar salad, dark chocolate salted cookies, too much coffee and mimosa’s, we rested and played pool. It was the ideal spot to prepare for our upcoming Delta One flight to Berlin.

Club Lounge #2 – A State-of-the-Art Sanctuary

Delta’s NEW SkyClub

Since we had a seven-hour layover at JFK, we had some extra time to spare, so we decided to explore the brand-new Delta Sky Club as well. This state-of-the-art lounge offers a host of amenities, including chef-curated dining options, a full bar, and comfortable seating. It’s the pinnacle of luxury and convenience, and one of our favorite club lounges to date.  Chandler’s favorite part was the gigantic Mojito.

Booking Delta One….with POINTS

It was finally time for the main event—our Delta One flight to Berlin, booked through Virgin Atlantic. Delta One provides the epitome of premium air travel, offering spacious seats that convert into fully flat beds, exquisite dining options, and a dedicated flight crew that catered to our every need. These photos say it all…it was an experience that we will never forget!!

Booking our Delta One experience through Virgin Atlantic ensured a seamless journey with all the perks, including priority boarding and access to premium lounges. The partnership between Virgin Atlantic and Delta Air Lines guarantees a world-class travel experience.  The BEST part of all of this is that we did it ALL ON POINTS! 300,000 to be exact!  Six people, in lie-flat seats across the pond was an absolute STEAL!  Oh, we did have to pay SOME cash . . . taxes, totaling $181.80 for all six!

We would never have been able to have this experience without POINTS! This was the cash price for our one-way flight to Berlin, Germany! We paid $181.80, in taxes.

Arriving in Berlin, Germany

After a remarkable flight on Delta One, we touched down in Berlin at 7:40am, ready to explore all that this vibrant city had to offer. Whether you’re here for its rich history, dynamic culture, or modern architecture, Berlin welcomes you with open arms.  And although we were pretty tired (landing at 7:40am in Berlin meant that it was 12:40am in Nashville, TN), we hit the ground running!

Traveling in Style

From the charm of Nashville International Airport to the sophistication of the Virgin Atlantic Club Lounge and the Delta Sky Club at JFK, and finally, the luxury of Delta One to Berlin, this journey is a testament to the joys of premium air travel. Booking through Virgin Atlantic ensured an unforgettable experience, setting the tone for an incredible two-week adventure – touring Germany, the heart of Europe! We had arrived in our very first European country, and we definitely arrived in style!
